Complete Assignment: The owner assigns all the rights of a trademark to the assignee including right to ownership, license etc.
Partial Assignment: The transfer of ownership can be decided upon terms and conditions, which do not allow a complete ownership transfer of the trademark but of the rights specified in the agreement.
Assignment with Goodwill: It is upon the assignor to decide whether the assignee gets the rights over the products sold under the trademark before the assignment. If the assignor lets the assignee enjoy the benefits from the previous products, the assignment would be with goodwill.
Assignment without Goodwill: If the assignor restricts the usage of the trademark to the products sold after the assignment, it will be referred to as an assignment without goodwill.
